Further foldable containers were installed for use as commentary booths, media and editing suites, offices and other admin centres. The team also installed 2 temporary kitchen structures, both with vinyl flooring, in collaboration with West Country Marquees. The kitchens were 12x27m and 9x9m in size, both equipped with running water, waste supply and air conditioning. The team completed the whole installation of all the structures within just five days, using only forklifts and jibs.

The Cube International group has continued its great partnership with Formula E, following Cube Management’s appointment to install 65 modular buildings at the Monaco E-Prix. Part of the ABB Formula E World Championships, the units will be installed at one of the most iconic venues in global motor sport.

Cube’s projects team prepared the units in Cube International’s new warehouse facility in Worcester, in readiness for the complex install programme which includes a 15 bay jointed, two storey configuration of cabins within the world famous Monaco Marina.

We are delighted to have expanded our relationship with Formula E following a successful initial project at the London race at the ExCeL centre last July. The whole team is working incredibly hard to ensure our work in Monaco is befitting such an historic venue in motor sport.”
Jon Graham, MD Cube Management

The 65 sustainable foldable cabins to be used at the event were collected before the Easter break and transported to Monaco on just eight articulated lorries. The efficient nature of transporting Cube’s award-winning Continest foldable buildings selected for this project, aligns with Formula E’s core principles which focus on sustainable practices and reducing carbon foot print.

The Cube crew will be on site for the duration of the build prior to the first race of the weekend which will be held on Saturday 30th April 2022.

Jon Graham, Cube Management’s Managing Director, said: “We are delighted to have expanded our relationship with Formula E, following a most successful initial partnership project at the London race last July. Last year’s build, at ExCeL London, was a complex one, with over 140 cabins installed including a double-stacked race control built in the main hall.

“Our project team and installation crew were exceptional on that project and when the opportunity arose to work with Formula E again, this time in Monaco, it was important that we, once again, were able to offer an unsurpassed service whilst continuing to develop our portfolio. The whole team is working incredibly hard to ensure our work in Monaco is befitting such an historic venue in motor sport.”

The installation at Monaco commenced just over a week before the first race.
