Cube ‘Back In The Saddle’ At The UEFA Europa League Final 2021

After a sports events hiatus of more than a year due to the coronavirus pandemic, Cube is delighted to be back, doing what it does best: delivering its unrivalled expertise and unparalleled event services to major sporting events.

For the UEFA Europa League Final, Cube was contracted to manage the in-venue retail operation, delivering a number of event structure solutions, branding and on-event retail staff for the event. Held on 26th May 2021, in front of a 9,000 strong crowd at the Miejski Stadium in Gdansk, the dramatic UEL 2021 final saw Villarreal defeat Manchester United 11-10 on penalties after a 1-1 draw and extra time, and win their first ever UEFA Europa League title.

WHAT WE DID

Cube delivered an end-to-end retail solution during the prestigious UEFA final, including the supply of retail units, operational staff, tills and display settings. Two event-branded retail structures were erected at the Gdansk Stadium, including designated display settings and shop fit-outs for each structure. The shops were deployed to sell the in-demand official match day programmes and UEL ‘friendship’ merchandise range.

The much-anticipated event, one of the first international sporting events held in front of a live crowd since the start of the COVID pandemic, saw hats, scarves, t-shirts and pin badges fly off the retail units’ shelves.
