The 65 sustainable foldable cabins used at the event were collected two weeks before the event and transported to Monaco on just eight articulated lorries. The efficient nature of transporting Cube’s award-winning Continest foldable buildings selected for this project totally aligns with Formula E’s core principles which focus on sustainable practices and reducing carbon foot print.

Jon Graham, Cube Management’s Managing Director, said: “We are delighted to have expanded our relationship with Formula E, following a most successful initial partnership project at the London race last July. Last year’s build, at ExCeL London, was a complex one, with over 140 cabins installed including a double-stacked race control built in the main hall.

“Our project team and installation crew were exceptional on that project and when the opportunity arose to work with Formula E again, this time in Monaco, it was important that we, once again, were able to offer an unsurpassed service whilst continuing to develop our portfolio. The whole team has worked incredibly hard to ensure our work in Monaco is befitting such an historic venue in motor sport.”

The Monaco E-Prix was held on Saturday 30th April 2022.

Cube showcased its sustainable temporary portable building solution at the R&A’s Curtis Cup in Conwy Wales.

Cube’s ever-popular portable buildings, used at events across the globe, took centre stage at the Curtis Cup women’s golf event last weekend. The Curtis Cup, held at the Conwy Golf Club in Wales, saw the US team overcome GB&I in a thrilling weekend.

Working with the R&A on numerous events, an organisation formed in 2004, based in St Andrews and which engages in and supports activities undertaken for the benefit of the sport of golf, this was Cube’s largest installation for their events calendar.

We supplied the R&A with 16 temporary event offices, 2 merchandise units used as bars, as well as 3 entrance kiosks. We also supplied IMG, the TV production company, with 4 Continest CN20’s and 3 CN10’s (20 and 10 feet in length respectively) for their compound of production offices and event offices.

The client was delighted with the way the cabins, portable buildings and event structures looked and were particulary impressed in how quickly they were installed with minimal disruption to the venue itself.

ITV's READY TO MINGLE

Cube Modular’s unique, foldable Continest modular buildings have been deployed for the filming of Ready To Mingle, ITV’s newest reality dating show. The production crew of the new series, which is being filmed in Devon, will be using the ecofriendly units as offices and welfare units.

Whilst filming is not expected to start until May, the production team have been busy preparing for the arrival of the contestants and are using the environmentally friendly Continest containers for the crew as an effective sustainability solution. Continest’s innovative and award-winning foldable design technology make its units the most mobile and eco-friendly portable buildings in the modular accommodation industry. Not only can 10 units be transported on one truck, thus offering significant savings on road haulage cost and carbon emissions, the units are also constructed from 70% recycled and/or recyclable materials, thereby making a major contribution to any sustainable filming environment.

Made by the company behind ITV’s successful tea-time game show The Chase, Ready to Mingle will see a single woman looking for love with 12 male suitors competing for her attention as well as a big cash prize. The full format, including plot twists and turns, have not yet been revealed. The new reality dating show is due to be aired later this year, part of the new ITV2 Autumn schedule.

Cube Modular’s unique and ecofriendly Continest modular buildings were recently used at Bovington Studios near London during the filming of a new comedy series. The production team of ‘Man vs Bee’ starring Rowan Atkinson, welcomed nine of the company’s modular foldable containers at the studios, where they were utilized as offices and welfare units.

Continest containers’ innovative foldable design technology makes its units the most mobile and environmentally friendly portable buildings in the modular accommodation industry. Due to the containers’ patented design, 10 units can be transported on a single truck, offering huge savings on road haulage costs and impressive reductions in carbon emissions. The units are also uniquely developed for quick and easy set up; a foldable solution offering an 80% cut in logistical and storage costs, and a similar reduction in CO2 and GHG emissions. For the Housesitter Productions team, the production company responsible for the new series, the units offered the perfect solution to help meet their sustainability targets.

The series Man vs Bee sees Rowan Atkinson at war with a bee while housesitting a luxurious mansion and will be streaming on Netflix later in the year.
