The UEFA Nations League Finals, an event Cube has been involved in since the inaugural event was held in Portugal in 2019, returned in 2021. This year, the UEFA football end-of-season spectacle was hosted by Italy and held at both the San Siro (Milan) and Juventus (Turin) stadiums.

Cube, revolutionizing the international sport and events industry with its market-leading and award-winning portable buildings, was contracted once again by Fanatics, UEFA’s official merchandise supplier, to provide merchandise structures for the event. Cube has a long-standing event services partnership with Fanatics, including the provision of merchandise infrastructure solutions for UEFA EURO2020, NFL London Games and F1 Grand Prix events.

Utilising innovative foldable container technology, Cube’s eco-friendly merchandise shop solution, specifically designed to enable quick and easy transportation, installation and relocation, has won many plaudits from across the globe.

Each unit, designed by our in-house tech design team, includes custom-made roller shutters, for security and safety, custom-made counters and tailored back-wall display units, as well as dedicated event-specific branding.

In total, Cube supplied five merchandise units to the two stadiums in Italy, all transported on just one articulated truck. Cube’s specialist on-event installation team were in charge of the transportation, installation and setup of the fully branded and fully fitted units, offering a complete turnkey solution. Returning after the event for the derig, the Cube team brought a full end-to-end solution to its client, Fanatics.

Cube’s merchandise solutions, similar to UEFA’s, offers events and venues, looking to increase their facility or temporary accommodation capacity in an environmentally conscious way, the perfect portable building solution to help meet sustainability targets. Due to their patented design, multiple units can be transported on a single truck, enabling huge savings on road haulage costs and equally impressive reductions in carbon emissions: a foldable building solution which offers an 80% reduction in logistical and storage costs, and a similar reduction in CO2 and GHG emissions, compared to traditional, fixed framed buildings.

THE UEFA NATIONS LEAGUE 2021 FINAL

The UEFA Nations League 2021 final saw France beat Spain 2-1.

Spain 1 (Oyarzabal 64′) France 2 (Benzema 66′, Mbappé 80′) A late goal from Kylian Mbappe sees France come from behind to produce a 2-1 win over Spain and win the Nations League trophy for the first time in their history.

Cube brings Sustainable Portable Fan Shops to Venues across Europe for EURO2020

For EURO2020, we were responsible for the installation of the event’s official fan shops and installed Continest CN20s, the world’s most sustainable portable building solution, at multiple venues across Europe. Venues included London, Rome, Amsterdam, Munich and Bucharest. 

The fully branded retail units were utilised to sell the official EURO2020 and competing nations merchandise to thousands of spectators and fans.

Postponed for a year, due to the coronavirus, the event was held across 11 European stadia, one of the first multi venue events held since the start of the global pandemic.

Contracted by EURO2020’s official merchandise partner, Fanatics, our on-event team, known for its logistical and operational expertise, installed 16 Continest CN20 units at multiple European venues in less than a week.

Revolutionizing the sports event industry, Continest foldable containers are a market-leading and award-winning ecofriendly portable accommodation solution. The units have won many plaudits from around the globe and have been specifically designed to enable quick and easy transportation, installation and relocation, due to the units’ patented and innovative foldable container technology.

Transportation of the units, and the accompanying equipment, to each venue is therefore possible on just one truck, which brings huge savings on road haulage costs and carbon emissions, compared to the use of traditional, fix-framed retail buildings.

The foldable units were built onsite at each location and included custom-made secure roller shutters, designed by Cube’s inhouse team, and dedicated tournament branding. Internally, each shop was fully fitted with shop fittings, branding, counters and display shelving.

As seen here at the Euros, Cube’s Continest container units are a great solution for any event or venue looking for a temporary facility solution that helps meet an event’s sustainability targets.

Cube ‘Back In The Saddle’ At The UEFA Europa League Final 2021

After a sports events hiatus of more than a year due to the coronavirus pandemic, Cube is delighted to be back, doing what it does best: delivering its unrivalled expertise and unparalleled event services to major sporting events.

For the UEFA Europa League Final, Cube was contracted to manage the in-venue retail operation, delivering a number of event structure solutions, branding and on-event retail staff for the event. Held on 26th May 2021, in front of a 9,000 strong crowd at the Miejski Stadium in Gdansk, the dramatic UEL 2021 final saw Villarreal defeat Manchester United 11-10 on penalties after a 1-1 draw and extra time, and win their first ever UEFA Europa League title.

WHAT WE DID

Cube delivered an end-to-end retail solution during the prestigious UEFA final, including the supply of retail units, operational staff, tills and display settings. Two event-branded retail structures were erected at the Gdansk Stadium, including designated display settings and shop fit-outs for each structure. The shops were deployed to sell the in-demand official match day programmes and UEL ‘friendship’ merchandise range.

The much-anticipated event, one of the first international sporting events held in front of a live crowd since the start of the COVID pandemic, saw hats, scarves, t-shirts and pin badges fly off the retail units’ shelves.
