Henley Royal Regatta 2021

HENLEY ROYAL REGATTA 2021

Henley Royal Regatta is well known as one of the most prestigious regattas in the world, a highlight of the summer rowing calendar and the UK’s social season.

Visited by more than 300,000 people each year, Henley Royal Regatta boasts over 300 races across six days of elite sporting competition.

First held 1839, the event has been held annually ever since, with the exception of the years affected by the two World Wars and the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020. Originally staged by the Mayor and people of Henley as a public attraction with a fair and other amusements, the emphasis rapidly changed so that competitive amateur rowing became its main purpose.

For the event’s much anticipated return in 2021, following its cancellation due to the coronavirus in 2020, Cube provided 51 hand sanitising stations in total, including a mix of one dispenser and 2 dispenser (one on each side) stations.

Cube’s ‘Don’t Pass It On’ hand sanitiser station initiative, initially launched at the beginning 2020 when the threat of Covid-19 was starting to be taken seriously the world over, provides a portable solution for events to help and encourage visitors to prevent the further spread of the coronavirus. The fully brandable stations offer a highly visible opportunity for brand alignment with a critical public health communication and are complete with stainless steel dispensers and hand sanitising gel.

Cube also created the artwork for the station walls which included the Henley Royal Regatta logo and regatta blue colour scheme. The stations were strategically positioned around the event’s enclosure, outside toilets, bars and enquiry desk, encouraging maximum engagement of visitors and staff.

Throughout the event, the Cube team were on hand, ensuring all the stations were working correctly and topped up with gel as needed.

National Pilot Return to Live Music Events

National Pilot Return to Live Music Events

LIVE MUSIC EVENTS 2021

We’re delighted to be supporting the national pilot return to live music events. Our foldable buildings from Continest were used as box offices and stand alone offices for the May Bank Holiday test nightclub event at Liverpool’s Bramley-Moore Dock.

The Cube team also supplied mobile hand sanitising walls with gel dispensers to both the Bramley-Moore Dock event and the Sefton Park Music Festival pilot organised by Festival Republic.

6,000 clubbers attended ‘The First Dance’ test nightclub event with no masks or social distancing at Bramley-Moore Dock warehouse on Friday 30 April and Saturday 1 May. The Sefton Park pilot open air music festival event featured bands Blossoms, The Lathums and Liverpool singer-songwriter Zuzu.

Continest’s innovative foldable buildings allow 10 x 20ft cabins (CN20s) or 20 x 10ft cabins (CN10s) to be transported on one truck, which offers an impressive 80% saving in CO² emissions compared to a fixed cabin system. The units are also made from 70% recycled materials, whilst the units’ innovative building technology enables both its CN10 and CN20 units to be jointed together to provide scalable buildings. With environmental sustainability a priority for event organisers, our foldable buildings are here to help achieve that goal.

ITV's READY TO MINGLE

Cube Modular’s unique, foldable Continest modular buildings have been deployed for the filming of Ready To Mingle, ITV’s newest reality dating show. The production crew of the new series, which is being filmed in Devon, will be using the ecofriendly units as offices and welfare units.

Whilst filming is not expected to start until May, the production team have been busy preparing for the arrival of the contestants and are using the environmentally friendly Continest containers for the crew as an effective sustainability solution. Continest’s innovative and award-winning foldable design technology make its units the most mobile and eco-friendly portable buildings in the modular accommodation industry. Not only can 10 units be transported on one truck, thus offering significant savings on road haulage cost and carbon emissions, the units are also constructed from 70% recycled and/or recyclable materials, thereby making a major contribution to any sustainable filming environment.

Made by the company behind ITV’s successful tea-time game show The Chase, Ready to Mingle will see a single woman looking for love with 12 male suitors competing for her attention as well as a big cash prize. The full format, including plot twists and turns, have not yet been revealed. The new reality dating show is due to be aired later this year, part of the new ITV2 Autumn schedule.

NETFLIX's MAN vs BEE

Cube Modular’s unique and ecofriendly Continest modular buildings were recently used at Bovington Studios near London during the filming of a new comedy series. The production team of ‘Man vs Bee’ starring Rowan Atkinson, welcomed nine of the company’s modular foldable containers at the studios, where they were utilized as offices and welfare units.

Continest containers’ innovative foldable design technology makes its units the most mobile and environmentally friendly portable buildings in the modular accommodation industry. Due to the containers’ patented design, 10 units can be transported on a single truck, offering huge savings on road haulage costs and impressive reductions in carbon emissions. The units are also uniquely developed for quick and easy set up; a foldable solution offering an 80% cut in logistical and storage costs, and a similar reduction in CO2 and GHG emissions. For the Housesitter Productions team, the production company responsible for the new series, the units offered the perfect solution to help meet their sustainability targets.

The series Man vs Bee sees Rowan Atkinson at war with a bee while housesitting a luxurious mansion and will be streaming on Netflix later in the year.
