Henley Royal Regatta 2021
Henley Royal Regatta is well known as one of the most prestigious regattas in the world, a highlight of the summer rowing calendar and the UK’s social season.
Visited by more than 300,000 people each year, Henley Royal Regatta boasts over 300 races across six days of elite sporting competition.
First held 1839, the event has been held annually ever since, with the exception of the years affected by the two World Wars and the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020. Originally staged by the Mayor and people of Henley as a public attraction with a fair and other amusements, the emphasis rapidly changed so that competitive amateur rowing became its main purpose.
For the event’s much anticipated return in 2021, following its cancellation due to the coronavirus in 2020, Cube provided 51 hand sanitising stations in total, including a mix of one dispenser and 2 dispenser (one on each side) stations.
Cube’s ‘Don’t Pass It On’ hand sanitiser station initiative, initially launched at the beginning 2020 when the threat of Covid-19 was starting to be taken seriously the world over, provides a portable solution for events to help and encourage visitors to prevent the further spread of the coronavirus. The fully brandable stations offer a highly visible opportunity for brand alignment with a critical public health communication and are complete with stainless steel dispensers and hand sanitising gel.
Cube also created the artwork for the station walls which included the Henley Royal Regatta logo and regatta blue colour scheme. The stations were strategically positioned around the event’s enclosure, outside toilets, bars and enquiry desk, encouraging maximum engagement of visitors and staff.
Throughout the event, the Cube team were on hand, ensuring all the stations were working correctly and topped up with gel as needed.
Cube Modular designs and manufactures modular portable buildings and containers of exceptional design, quality and functionality for sports events, venues, stadia and businesses.
