Care Home Visitor Pods Bring Residents And Families Together For The First Time Since Lockdown

Cube Modular has delivered three care home visitor pods to the Eastleigh Care Home group in Devon. The covid-secure guest pods, branded as ‘Visitor Hubs’, were installed at the entrance of three of the group’s luxury care homes, enabling residents and loved ones to be reunited in person in the same room, for the very first time since the onset of the Coronavirus pandemic.

Eastleigh Care Homes pride themselves on offering a warm and caring environment for their residents, with a mission ‘to make it a family environment and fulfil people’s lives’. The new visitor pods now enable residents of the homes to be reunited with family and friends in a controlled, private, relaxed and covid-secure setting.

Owner and Chairman Garry Wilson said: “We look to provide a facility and service which emulates everything I would look for if it were for me or my family. A warm and caring environment, with our residents at the heart of everything we do.

“Following a long period of lockdown and shielding, with currently no end in sight, we are totally delighted to offer our residents and their families a new and secure area to meet up. The visitor pods have brought us a ray of sunshine during these most troubling times.”

Cube Modular’s Visitor Pods are a modular foldable container solution for Care Homes in the UK. Fully flexible in size, configuration and internal fit-out, units can be set up in minutes and are available on both a hire and purchase basis. The pods installed at the East Street, Raleigh Mead and Minehead nursing and residential care homes were delivered fully carpeted, with wheelchair ramps and heaters added, for easy access and additional comfort for the winter months ahead.
